The Problem without Power
The problem without power is very common in our urban areas in the Philippines. And the cost of having electricity is very high. An option to maximize the use of our resources is listed below. A hydro electric generator that is small for urban areas. Though it's small, it can be set up as a series for a nearby rivers and produce more electricity and be available to households nearby.
Here is that option, Turbulent Hydro for small hydroelectric power generation for our small rural areas. The design can vary from 5KW to 15KW as of the time of writing and the design is simple to setup. And easy to maintain. Problem is, it's no way near in the Philippines. We haven't talked with the creators yet but creating such design can be used for DIY project for small villages.
There might be some difficult challenges ahead but for now, we can only hope to have this. The intention of this writing is to only list the possible options. And this is one way. We can't rely much on windmill in urban areas in Cebu as it takes a lot of space and expensive to setup. This hydro electric generator, small in design, can be easily implemented. This then comes with a question. Can we do it? This begs another problem. One option we could have is a better education for urban areas and hopefully in the future, we can be sustainable and have this kind of, if not this, power generation available to our areas. Stay tuned with how we can cater the problem of education. We have a plan at least, to have a cooperative that offers a skilled-driven junior high school for kids who are inclined to Science and Technology.
