What Quarantine Makes of Us

Now that we have a pandemic on going. We develop a sense of urgency to make our urban areas sustainable. Here we first list our problems that we may solve later on with this blog posts. This is a blog for hopefully documenting what will we do in the future and what works and what doesn't and we'll make out of the situation. This is a work on progress so we don't have any solutions right. Thus we only list problems that we encounter and probably make adjustments as we go along this road of development.

First problem would be food. In the Philippines, even though we are abundant on resources, we forgot how to grow food and make use of our lands. With the use of YouTube, we'll list some options we can in the future to further develop our urban areas.

Here is an inspiring video of working on a small land to produce more than we can consume.

So we can start with any small lands and work out which ever works with us. This brings us to another problem. What to plant with it given that the sample is from Australia? In the Philippines, we have different species of plants and animals as we are in the tropics. We got some info from Facebook about Philippines Vegetables Calendar. So provided below is a list of the vegetables we can garden in our backyard all year long.

Hope this helps for now. In the future we'll cater more regarding unemployment and how can we remedy some portions of it, helping people out of jobs in these times and probably improve our urban areas by adding more jobs locally.
